K2 Base Camp Trek

The K2 Base Camp and Gondogoro La trek was without doubt one of the most incredible adventures we have ever experienced. From the moment we arrived in Pakistan, the organisation was excellent and the team made us feel completely supported.

The Baltoro Glacier, Concordia and the views of K2 were beyond anything we had imagined. Crossing Gondogoro La was the biggest challenge of the trek, but reaching the top and seeing the incredible panorama of K2, Broad Peak and the Gasherbrum peaks made every difficult step worthwhile.

Our guides and porters were professional, friendly and incredibly helpful throughout the journey. We would highly recommend this trek to anyone from the UK looking for a genuine high-altitude adventure.

We travelled from the UK to Pakistan specifically to trek to K2 Base Camp, and the experience exceeded our expectations.

The route through the Baltoro Glacier was spectacular. Concordia was probably the highlight, but nothing compares to finally standing beneath K2. The scale of the mountains is difficult to understand until you experience it yourself.

We also chose to cross Gondogoro La, which was physically demanding and definitely required preparation. Our local guide was excellent at managing the pace and supporting us through the more difficult sections.

The whole expedition was professionally organised, and we felt very well looked after from Skardu until the end of the trek.

This was not an ordinary holiday—it was a proper mountain expedition.

The K2 Base Camp route took us through some of the most spectacular scenery we have ever seen. The Baltoro Glacier, Trango Towers, Concordia and the views towards Broad Peak and the Gasherbrums were unforgettable.

Gondogoro La was the toughest part of the journey. It was challenging, but our guides handled the crossing professionally and made sure everyone was prepared before attempting the pass.

The local team were fantastic throughout the trek. Their knowledge of the mountains, patience and hospitality made a huge difference.

If you are physically prepared and looking for something truly different, we would absolutely recommend K2 Base Camp and Gondogoro La.

We had dreamed about seeing K2 for years, but nothing prepared us for the reality of the Karakoram.

Every day brought something different—from walking through remote valleys to trekking across the Baltoro Glacier and eventually reaching Concordia and K2 Base Camp.

The Gondogoro La crossing was an incredible experience. It was demanding and required concentration, but standing at the pass and looking across the surrounding mountains was one of the most memorable moments of our lives.

The guides, porters and support team were excellent. They worked incredibly hard behind the scenes and always made sure we had food, water and a safe place to rest.

The K2 Base Camp and Gondogoro La trek was challenging, rewarding and absolutely unforgettable.

The organisation was very good, particularly considering how remote the route is. Our guide kept us informed about the conditions, helped us manage our pace and made sure the group stayed together.

K2 Base Camp was the obvious highlight, but Concordia and the Gondogoro La crossing were equally impressive. The combination of glaciers, enormous peaks and remote camps made this feel like a genuine expedition rather than a normal trekking holiday.

Anyone considering this trek should train properly beforehand, especially if they intend to cross Gondogoro La.

We came home exhausted but incredibly happy—and already want to return to Pakistan.
